엘리나 스비톨리나 — 하뉴 구오 예측
Guo’s Wuhan run has required two marathons: 2 hours 41 minutes against Sorana Cirstea, then 3 hours 4 minutes against Katie Volynets on the next day. She has also played doubles with Kristina Mladenovic, and returns on a short turnaround while carrying the strain of her father’s serious illness.
The serve offers little shelter: no aces in either Wuhan match, and only about half of her first-serve points won against Volynets. Svitolina’s return was the strongest part of her win over Liudmila Samsonova, taking more than half the return points; she also had a bye before that match, which was shorter than either of Guo’s.
Under 18.5 games makes sense if that workload catches up with Guo against a much stronger returner. Scores such as 6-3 6-3, 6-4 6-2 or 6-2 6-4 stay below the line; the price looks worthwhile because it still gives too much credit to the comeback story and not enough to the recovery question.
Svitolina −6.5 is less forgiving: ordinary wins like 6-3 6-3 or 6-4 6-2 do not cover it, while her outright price is too short. The risk is Svitolina’s serve—seven double faults and only a third of second-serve points won against Samsonova—and Guo has already shown she can fight back. A close set or a third set changes the total.
Prediction: Total Under 18.5 games, odds 1.82
